Leconfield Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 | Give it time and be rewarded | 95 points
A classic-styled Coonawarra Cabernet, easily confused for a Left Bank Bordeaux. Leconfield Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 presents dark purple and ruby. While the nose reveals lovely cassis, spearmint, and plum fruit tinged with cinnamon, clove, and French oak. Excellent density, packed with juicy plum and bracketed by chewy tannins. Finally, excellent length with a dark chocolate and sweet spice finish. Drink now-2027.
95JH | Leconfield Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 has good color. While the excellent vintage has provided winemaker Paul Gordon with a full hand of cassis and mulberry to play with. And he’s played his cards well. Yet the overall result is a medium-bodied cabernet that is already seductive. But please keep your hands off it for the first few years of what will be a long life.

And is planted predominantly to Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller patches of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, Petit Verdot. In addition, complemented with the white varieties of Riesling and Chardonnay.
