The vast majority of Turley’s wines are single vineyard designates. However, Turley Juvenile Zinfandel 2016 comprises of a variety of young vines replanted in several of their old vine sites. Replanting and tagging the vine so as not to mix the brand new vine with its much older neighbors. Finally picking these young vines separately to make a distinct wine.
So, the vines making up the Turley Juvenile Zinfandel 2016 range in age from about 6-25 years. And Turley pulls from 18 of their best vineyards across California. Impressively including Hayne, Ueberroth, Pesenti, Salvador, Vineyard 101, Fredericks, and Kirschenmann.

Turley Wine Cellars was founded in 1993 by Larry Turley and makes thirty-four wines. Yet the vast majority of which is a single vineyard designate Zinfandels and Petite Sirahs. By focusing on old vine vineyards, in particular, Turley aims to both create and preserve California’s unique winemaking culture.
All of Turley’s vineyards are either certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers or somewhere in the process, and the winery uses all natural yeasts in the fermentation.
Turley aims to be stewards of some of California’s most distinctive vineyards, producing authentic wines that reflect their heritage.
