Shiloh Mosaic 2016 | Way too good to just have on Passover
Shiloh Mosaic 2016 is a blend of the finest Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (7%), Petit Verdot (7%) and Petite Sirah (6%). The wines are vinified separately, spending a full year in French oak barrels before being blended, at which point the blend is aged in barrel for another six months.
The color is a deep, almost impenetrable garnet. Aromas are of ripe blackberry, cedar, and cacao that lead into flavors of dark fruit preserves, forest floor, and vanilla. Pairs well with prime rib. Drink now-2028+.
Shiloh Winery | Judean Hills
All grape growing conditions for producing the best of quality wines exist in the Judean Desert and particularly where Shiloh´s vineyards are located. It is a desert zone with the cold dawn of the nights and the deep warm of the days that create an ideal climate for the wines at almost 800 meters above the sea level; its an oasis within the desert. A combination of limestone – clay soil, rich in sedimentary fragments and the altitude above the 800 meters combined with the use of the highest and latest technology give us the perfect conditions to create quality wines that have been internationally awarded and recognized around the globe.
The Shiloh winery has been a staple of innovation and technology for as long as I can remember. While continuously pushing the boundaries of viticulture and vinification techniques. Yet still succeeding in producing wines that are absolutely loved by all who drink it. One cannot mention the Shiloh winery without mentioning its exuberant and excellent winemaker Amichai Luria.
